Bird Netting
Bird Netting from Birds & Geese Beware. Practical bird control planning, FAQs, and service guidance across NJ, NYC, NY, and CT.

Netting seals off open spans, courtyards, and loading docks entirely, so birds can't get in to roost or nest in the first place.
Full-Span Coverage
Panels are tensioned across large open areas like courtyards, warehouses, and parking structures.
Low-Visibility Materials
UV-stabilized netting blends against most facades so the building's appearance isn't compromised.
Flush-Fit Installation
Netting is fitted tight against the architecture rather than hung loose, closing every gap birds could exploit.
Built To Last Years
Properly tensioned netting holds up through seasons of wind and weather with minimal upkeep.
Bird netting installation across NJ, NY & CT
Bird netting is the most complete deterrent we install: a physical barrier that seals off a space entirely so birds cannot land, roost, or nest there at all. Birds & Geese Beware, Inc. has fitted netting to commercial, municipal, and residential properties across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut since 1991, tailoring every panel to the building's architecture and the species pressing on it.
Unlike spot deterrents that protect a single ledge or sign, netting closes off an entire rafter bay, courtyard, or loading dock at once. Fabricated from UV-stabilized polyethylene and installed under tension so it cannot sag, a properly fitted net holds for years and, done right, nearly disappears against the structure it protects.

Where netting works best
Netting earns its keep on large, open spans where smaller deterrents cannot cover enough ground. We install it most often on:
- Commercial and industrial sites: warehouses, distribution centers, and hangars, sealing rafters, beams, and loading docks from pigeons and starlings.
- Public infrastructure: airports, parking structures, bridges, and overpasses, where bird strikes and fouling are safety and maintenance concerns.
- Residential and mixed-use buildings: courtyards, awnings, and covered walkways prone to nesting and droppings.
- Agricultural and specialty sites: crop netting over vulnerable plantings, and equipment enclosures at exposed industrial sites.
On any of these, the goal is the same: close the gap completely so there is no partial opening for a determined flock to find.

Netting compared with our other deterrents
Netting is not always the right call. The best fix depends on the surface, the space, and how much of it needs covering. Here is how it stacks up against the other methods we install.

On stubborn sites we frequently pair netting with hard exclusion at the edges, closing every gap a flock could otherwise use to get back in.
How a netting installation runs
Every project follows the same disciplined process, whether it is a single storefront awning or a full distribution center.
- Site survey. We measure the space, identify the species involved, and map how much pressure the site is under.
- Custom fabrication. Net panels are cut and tensioned specifically for the dimensions of your building, not a generic size.
- Installation. Trained crews anchor the netting with cables and hardware rated for the site, leaving no gaps a bird could exploit.
- Inspection and maintenance. We check back periodically for tears, sagging, or debris buildup so the barrier keeps holding.
Mesh size is chosen to match the species. Smaller openings hold back sparrows and finches, while a wider mesh is enough to stop pigeons and seagulls without unnecessary material cost.

Built to last
The netting materials we use are treated to resist UV degradation, so they do not become brittle or discolored under years of sun exposure. Correct tensioning is what keeps a net effective over time: a loose net sags into reach and eventually tears, while a properly tensioned install stays taut and close to invisible. That combination, durable material and precise tensioning, is why a well-installed net can protect a property for years with only occasional inspection.

Every property is different, so we match the deterrent to the space, the surfaces, and the severity of the problem.
Bird netting for every kind of property
We provide bird netting for a wide range of commercial, municipal, and residential customers across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
Our process for Bird Netting.
Site Assessment
A technician walks the property first: where the birds land, nest, and enter, what surfaces they favor, and what keeps drawing them back. That inspection decides whether bird netting is the right fix — and exactly where it earns its keep.
Custom Layout & Quote
We measure the ledges, roofs, or grounds involved and spec the system to the structure — coverage, anchoring, and materials matched to the site. You get a clear, free quote with no one-size-fits-all guesswork.
Professional Installation
Our own trained crews install the system — no subcontractors. Work is anchored cleanly, kept low-profile, and done to manufacturer spec so it protects the property without becoming an eyesore.
Inspection & Follow-Up
Before we leave, we verify pressure points are covered and the birds have no way back in. If anything needs adjusting after the birds test it, we return and make it right.
